Dear all,

At the next Evo* conference in Apr 2026, we will organise a new type of session:

The Special Session on Opinions and Trends in Evolutionary Computation [https://www.evostar.org/2026/evoapps/otec/] invites opinion and perspective papers, rather than conventional research articles.

We welcome texts on visionary insights, critiques, reflections, and discussions on the present and future of evolutionary computation, its interactions with other AI, and its place in science, technology, and society. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Where is evolutionary computation headed in the next decade?
- How should EC position itself alongside data-driven paradigms?
- What are your bold perspectives on how EC might (or should) evolve?

Submission deadline: 1 November 2025.

Best regards,

Giovanni
