Workshop on Symbolic and Generative AI for Science  (SymGenAI4S 2026)

In conjunction with SEMANTiCS 2026
Ghent, Belgium | September 15, 2026

Submissions are invited for the 2nd International Workshop on Symbolic and Generative AI for Science (SymGenAI4Sci 2026), co-located with SEMANTiCS 2026, to be held in Ghent, Belgium on September 15, 2026.

Following a successful first edition in 2025, SymGenAI4Sci is emerging as a focused forum for researchers and practitioners working at the intersection of symbolic reasoning, generative AI, and scientific discovery. The workshop aims to build a community around trustworthy, interpretable, and domain-aware AI systems for science.


🔍 Scope and Topics
The workshop welcomes contributions on topics including:
• Symbolic and Generative AI in science
• Symbolic and hybrid approaches
• Tools, Resources, and Societal Impacts
• Advanced Techniques and Emerging Trends


📄 Submission Categories
• Short Papers (3–6 pages)
• Full Papers (7–12 pages)
• Demo Papers (4 pages)

All submissions will undergo peer review. Accepted papers will be published in CEUR Workshop Proceedings (https://ceur-ws.org/).
