Software engineering is at a crossroads. The rapid adoption of
agentic development—AI systems that can plan and execute substantial
parts of the software lifecycle—is reshaping how software is built,
evaluated, and maintained.
For PhD students and researchers, this is both an extraordinary

International Summer School on Software Engineering (ISSSE 2026)

rising stars in the software engineering community.

SCHOOL LOCATION
The school will be held at the campus of the University of Salerno,
located in Via Giovanni Paolo II, 132, 84084 Fisciano (SA), Italy.
The University of Salerno is very close to some of the most
beautiful and historical places of Italy, such as the Amalfi Coast,
Capri, Pompeii, and Paestum.
REGISTRATION AND INFORMATION
Registration fees are EUR 500 for academic and industrial
researchers and EUR 350 for PhD students (proof required).
They include admission to all lectures, slides and other materials
prepared by the lecturers, luncheons, and social functions.
Participants may also register for individual tutorials. In this
case, the fee is EUR 100 for each selected tutorial and includes
admission to the tutorial, slides and other materials prepared by
the lecturer, luncheons, and coffee breaks.
The deadline for registration is May 28, 2026.

STUDENT TALKS
Student talks and tool demos are intended for attendees (mainly
PhD students) who want to present their research work.
Attendees interested in giving a talk or demonstrating a tool
should register and submit a proposal by May 15, 2026.
Attendees will be notified about the inclusion of their talk/demo
in the program by May 19, 2026.
