 * FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT *

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the “International Conference on Machine Learning for Astrophysics ML4ASTRO”, which will be held in Catania (Italy) on 30 May-1 June 2022. Our hope is that this will be the first of a series of conferences devoted to create a friendly environment where AI scientists and astronomers can discuss and start new collaborations. 

During the conference, challenges coming from the application of ML/DL methods to open problems in astrophysics will be presented as well as the latest obtained results on such topics. A special session will be dedicated to the future radio data deluge coming from SKA and its precursors. 

The scientific program will be organized in several sessions including invited reviews, contributed talks, posters and ample time for discussion.

Along with the scientific program, cultural and social events will be organized.

At the end of the conference, a proceedings book will be published on  “Astrophysics and Space Sciences Proceedings” Springer series.

*** REGISTRATION and FEE ***

The conference registration fee is 150 EUR (80 euro for students) if registered before 15 April 2022. Late registration will only be possible if space is left, with a corresponding fee of 200 EUR (130 euro for students),  to be paid before 15 May 2022. 

Virtual attendance is also foreseen, with a fixed fee of 50 euro. 

Considering that the conference is aimed to create a discussion space among AI and space field experts, we warmly invite people to attend in person.


*** CALL FOR ABSTRACTS ***

Registration and Abstract Submission are currently open, through the ML4ASTRO website. We kindly invite you to submit an Abstract for an Oral or Poster contribution. Conference proceedings are foreseen both for Oral and Poster contributions.
