https://sites.google.com/view/ai4rails2025/ The AI4RAILS workshop series started in 2020, stemming from the Shift2Rail project RAILS (Roadmaps for the AI integration in the raiL Sector), to provide annually a forum for researchers, practitioners, and business leaders to discuss and share new perspectives, ideas,
technologies, and solutions for effective integration of AI techniques in rail-based transportation systems.
AI4RAILS 2025 workshop is the 6th edition in the series, specifically addressing topics related to the adoption of Artificial Intelligence technologies in trustworthy, dependable, and safe applications for rail freight and passenger systems.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- AI for railway safety, availability, reliability, and security
- Transferability to railways of AI approaches from other sectors
- Autonomous and cooperative train driving, including virtual coupling
- Automatic detection of signals, pedestrians, and obstacles
- Predictive maintenance and defect detection in railways
- AI for railway traffic planning and management
- Adversarial challenges in AI with a focus on railway case-studies
- Cognitive Digital Twins and Resource Allocation for railways
- Run-time model checking and AI with a focus on railway case studies
- Explainable and trustworthy AI in railway applications
- Certification and compliance standards for autonomous trains

Paper submission opening date: Dec 20th, 2024
Paper submission deadline: Jan 10th, 2025
Author notification: Jan 31st, 2025
Camera-ready paper due: Mar 5th, 2025
***Submission and Publication***
AI4RAILS 2025 invites original papers not submitted elsewhere, presenting original contributions. All submissions will be peer-reviewed by members of the program committee.
They will be evaluated based on originality, contribution to the field, technical and presentation quality, and relevance to the workshop.
Accepted papers will be included in the conference Supplementary Proceedings managed by the Conference Publishing Services (CPS) and submitted to Xplore and the CSDL.
Submitted papers must be written in English, follow the IEEE two-column format, and have a length between 4 and 6 pages, including figures, tables, and references.

https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ai4rails25Submitting authors are requested to register their attendance upon submitting the camera-ready version. Papers will only be included in the proceedings if presented in person at the workshop.
