Dear colleagues,
Registration is now open for the 18th International Workshop on Science Gateways (IWSG 2026), which will take place in Catania (Italy) from 16 to 19 June 2026.
Science Gateways and Virtual Research Environments support scientists across the full research lifecycle, enabling data-intensive research through advanced computing infrastructures, reproducible workflows, and collaborative platforms.
The workshop will include invited talks, contributed presentations, lightning talks, and demonstrations addressing the latest developments in Science Gateways, infrastructures, and data-driven scientific applications.
The final day of the workshop will feature a special session on Science Gateways and Scientific Visualization in Astronomy, with a focus on the Square Kilometre Array (SKA).

Research data management and Big Data visual analytics through Science Gateways

Software engineering approaches supporting scientific work
Aspects of Science Gateways, such as security and stability
Submission deadline: 31 March 2026
Acceptance notification: 15 April 2026
Camera-ready deadline: 19 May 2026
Registration
Early-bird registration: 390 USD (until 26 May 2026)
Regular registration: 450 USD (until 12 June 2026)
On-site registration: 500 USD
Registration includes workshop access, coffee breaks, lunches, social events, and the conference dinner.
