Dear all,

We are pleased to invite you to submit your work to the 25th International Conference on Knowledge Engineering and Knowledge Management (EKAW 2026), which will be held from September 29 to October 1, 2026.

This year, our special theme is “New Frontiers in Knowledge Engineering.” In an era rapidly evolving with Generative AI, neuro-symbolic architectures, and agentic AI, we invite the community to reflect on the role of Knowledge Engineering (KE) and Knowledge Management (KM). We are particularly interested in how KE can address the limitations of generative models, support high-quality knowledge for neuro-symbolic systems, and navigate the shifting landscape of modern AI.

Key Dates

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: May 15, 2026 (extended)

  • Full Paper Submission Deadline: May 22, 2026 (extended)

  • Notification of Acceptance: July 10, 2026

  • Camera Ready Deadline: July 27, 2026
    Note: All deadlines are 23:59:59 AoE. Pre-submission of an abstract is a strict requirement.

Submission Tracks

EKAW 2026 welcomes contributions across a range of topics, including:

  • Knowledge Engineering: Methods, tools, ontology design, neuro-symbolic architectures, and multimodal KE.

  • Knowledge Management & Governance: Evolution, maintenance, trust, and ethical KE.

  • Social & Cognitive Aspects: Human-machine synergies and knowledge ecosystems.

  • Knowledge Discovery & Acquisition: Data mining, KG extension, and AI-based methodologies.

  • Domain-specific Applications: Healthcare, Cultural Heritage, Industry 4.0/5.0, eGovernment, and more.

Paper Types

We accept Research, In-use, and Vision papers. All submissions will undergo a single-blind review process. Accepted papers will be published by Springer in an LNAI volume.

How to Submit

Submissions must be prepared in the LNCS format and submitted electronically via EasyChair. Please ensure your work demonstrates a clear connection to Knowledge Engineering or Knowledge Management.
