Signing Up As a New Pioneer: Getting Through the Confusing Buying Process

Hi,

I’m sure that there are some questions about the order process for new people who want to sign up as pioneers. That’s because the process is a bit confusing. We’re looking at how we can minimize that confusion, and certainly I expect things will be easier once we launch and we aren’t worrying about referral codes. 

Here’s a step by step guide for how the purchasing process works:

The order process looks like this:

0. Get a referral code. You can get a referral code from a current pioneer, either a friend, contact, or acquaintance, or you can ask on our forums for someone to share their code. Many pioneers are happy to share.
1. Open the Agiga website.
2. Find the link to order EchoVision.
3. Add the EchoVision glasses to the cart. Be sure to make the appropriate lens selections and choose pioneer edition. When you add, it will ask for a code to unlock the cart. Put in the referral code.
4. Once the glasses are ordered, select the continue shopping link. Don’t check out yet.
5. Find the Independence plan under services and add it. It’s free for the first six months for your referral, and $9.99 per month after that. They can downgrade to free if they want to later, though I can’t imagine why they would. 
6. Check out. Fill in all the payment information. There are several payment options, though credit card shows up by default. One of those options is called Shop Pay, which can set up a payment plan through Affirm. 
7. Be sure to put the same referral code in for the discount code. This helps us track referrals. More than that, it drops $10 off the final total. 
8. Finally, finalize the order. You’ll get an email confirming your purchase.

It isn’t moot for pioneers if your friends ask you how the heck to use that referral code you gave them.

While this is interesting information isn't it moot for pepole in the group who are already Pioneers and hence have already purchased the EchoVision (Pioneer edition) glasses?

This is probably best suited for the other Google group for the EchoVision curious and the FaceBook group.
