I'm excited for the EchoVision glasses.  Now that production has commenced it would be great to get this forum going.  I know there is a Facebook community page and it gets some traffic, but I've found Facebook to be utterly frustrating to use with NVDA or Narrator on my Win10 desktop.  I just don't have the patience for it.  It is infuriating.  But I digress.

I appreciate the newsletters from Agiga, but they are fairly infrequent and don't provide much detail on the product.

I've pre-ordered the glasses and would appreciate being more involved in the development of the product.  I've had some nice discussions via email with Agiga folks.

I can't say I'm a huge fan of Google groups for a forum discussion.l  I'd prefer reddit or gropus.io.  Definitely NOT slack, but maybe discord if all else fails.

But I don't know how to entice the folks participating on Facebook over here.

Does anybody know if the batteries will be replaceable either by the end user or by Agiga?  Withe the relatively small battery capacity there will be lots of charge recycling which will make for a relatively short life for the battery and I'd hate to have to brick them and have to buy a new device just to get a fresh battery.

Yep, I agree. Agiga's newsletters are definitely infrequent, and lack
content. We should be getting a lot more news by this point. Where did
you even find the battery capacity? I don't think it was in the FAQ last
time I checked. Even their Youtube channel is lacking. I'm getting a
little nervous regarding this product. A similar product already
flopped, so this is a valid concern. I'm also not a huge fan of the
voice. hopefully we get some options. And I'm also hoping some of the
lag has been decreased.

Please no, anything but discord or Slack!

I joined this group, and not the Facebook group, as I wanted something nice and simple like email.

I’m very interested to see how the final specifications will compare with upcoming glasses from the main stream. I do hope the echo Vision ones will have enough future proofing to make it worthwhile for us given the rapid advances in Technology and AI.
With Best wishes.

It's nice to see a little activity here, but I'm getting the sense that the only forum for discussion of the EchoVision glasses at this point seems to be the FaceBook community page.  I gritted my teeth and did my best to navigate the FB UI for that community page.  There is lots of information being posted there.  Most notably is the participation of Agiga staff.  No Agiga staff participation here.  I don't use google groups much and I'm having difficulty figureing out the optimal way to navigate the web page for this group on google groups.  I know there are ways to do it using email, but I really don't care to have my email inbox filled with forum dialogue.  I prefer forums accessed via my web browser to a web forum.

We'll see how things work out.  I may have to result to just sending Agiga emails to get my questions answered.  I was hoping to get more insight from people who may already be using early versions of the device, but I don't see anything of that sort posted on the FB group.  Agiga states they are getting all kinds of feedback for their development of the product, but I don't see any evidence of that.  I'm following the development of the Glide device and they seem to be doing an excellent job of interacting openly with the intended audience.  They have a comporehensive and frequently updated FAQ.  Their monthly zoom meetings are quite informative and can be accessed after the fact if you don't like sitting in on the meetings at the time they are held.  They are very open about how user feedback is gathered and factored into their development process.  Agiga feels a bit more opaque.  Fingers crossed all will work out.

I have also pre ordered and Isuspect that the battery life is like all the other hands free devices.  My Seleste glasses had a short battery life, like my Meta glasses.  the IGIGA glasses are supposed to have capability to connect a external power supply through usbc.  I guess i will place my external pack and place it into a shirt pocket or in my backpack.  Meta has introduced the Oakely series with increased battery life.  I hope that the battery recharge cycles will improve.  I do not want to replace my glasses like I do with my smart phones.
