It is my understanding that there is a separate list for frontier users. Is this correct? If so, may I know what that address is? I have been told that my glasses will ship soon! :)

Hi,

Yes, your glasses will be shipping soon, but I don’t have an estimated time frame yet. Two weeks or less though.

The Pioneers list is indeed one you will be subscribed to once your glasses get shipped. It’s pionee...@agiga.ai but you can’t manually subscribe. We’ll subscribe you once your glasses arrive.

Oops. My mistake. I conflated two lists. The list is just pion...@agiga.ai. Still won’t be subscribed until you receive the glasses. LOL

I believe it is pioneer and not frontier.
And I think this is it.

Hi Monty,

This one is not it. This one is the discussion list for anyone who’s interested. The pioneers list is a different list.

Well, I recently got the glasses. And as far as I know, I’m not subscribed to that list. At least I can say that I have not received any email from it in the past few days since I did get my glasses. Perhaps there hasn’t been much email on it.

Just in case any of you are expecting your glases in Canada. The company decided to use UPS. In canada they are terrible. It has been the 3rd time they come to our house eventually, ring the bell and leave. No 30 second wait. I have it all on doorbell cam. Because they want a signature they won't leave the package.I may never get my glasses. The UPS store they could deliver it to, is an hour away by car, and not on public transit.
My wife had to use them for work and has similar experiences.

Jeffery, maybe it is different in Canada but I was able to pre-sign for my glasses delivery. I work during the day so I couldn’t be home for the delivery. I created a UPS account and authorized them to leave it on my front door. When I got it home it was just sitting there waiting for me.

I have the same or similar experiences with UPS here in the states. I have to be practically at the door because UPS will not wait 30 seconds for me to get to the door after they ring the door bell. Missed many packages that way because of them that need a signature.

I've dealt with UPS over many years, to include when we could actually pay for COD parcels when I was self-employed, to span a few decades.

I'm sorry that the service has declined to this level of service, or lack of service thereof.

One can sign-up for an account and perhaps leave any special instructions, regarding how to deliver one's parcels.

Hi Mary,

There’s been a fair amount of traffic on that list.  You will want to be on it.  When I got my glasses, I had to contact Agiga and ask them to add me.  Send an email to sup...@agiga.ai.
Cheers,
Donna

Interesting, I was added to the list a few days ago, but haven’t received any email from it so far.

Perhaps since CSUN has been going on, that there’s not much to discuss at this time.

Hi Amanda,

There was a flurry of activity after an update that was released last week, but you may not have been added then.  The last couple days there’ve been a few emails, so depending on when you were added, you should have received those.
Cheers,
Donna

I was added on March 11th.

Sure hope it was activated.  I never received a greeting or welcome message either.  Perhaps there is no  confirmation that we receive when we’re added, which I don’t expect.  I’d suggest, that at least a confirmation from the actual email list is generated?

I’ll inquire again as this was on Wednesday.

Thanks and I’ll drop this now as it’s not really related to this list.

People with google accounts can access archives of google groups via their web interface.  Go to  My groups.
Select "My Groups" in the menu bar on the left.  Select the group of interest and away yu go.
I don't like the email method as I don't want a flurry of email messages coming my way.  I prefer to select when I want to read and respond to postings.  But, we all have our own preferences.  The web interface is nice for going back and reviewing previous threads.

Any single courier company can be bad in some places and not in others and some may say Fed Ex is excellent, but I may find they are worse than UPS where I live.
Especially if you are in smaller places, couriers often subcontract out their deliveries to local contracters and how well they do their job can really vary.
I live in a small town with a population of just over 5,000 in Northwestern British Columbia with the next larger city of about 90,000 being a 4-hour drive away. Also a lot of people here have rural properties and live within 10 to 25 minutes from town. Here in Canada a lot of Amazon deliveries are done by a company called Dragonfly (or at least that seems to be the case for us) and especially those who live out of town complain bitterly about the poor service where they find parcels at the start of their driveway in the snow or parcels are delivered to a totally different address etc. One guy posted video footage of his webcam at the start of his driveway and the Dragonfly driver litterlly threw a small package out of the window without even stopping properly, but I live right in town and I never had a problem with the same company.

Nothing in my junk folder and sending a message to the address Buddy supplied just returns an email to me that I am either not subscribed or the group doesn’t exist.

When I was added to the list, it appeared in my inbox and then when I received the first posted message, I set up a rule to move them to their own folder.

I would certainly look in one’s Spam or Junk folder though.

I am still apparently not subscribed. Like Frankie, I just sent a message to the address that Buddy supplied, and I got an error in response. The email that should be subscribed is not the one from which I am sending this message. The email that should be subscribed, the one through which I did my gig got original order, is mary...@comcast.net .

Hi buddy,
Well I’m not sure what address was subscribed. The one I’m writing from now, a Gmail address, is not the one that I wanted subscribed. But I’m not getting anything at that address either, although it’s possible it’s going into some junk label or something. I am not that great with Gmail. I do want Comcast address subscribed, the one I used when I ordered the glasses and the one I’ve used to have them connected and all that stuff. So yes, if you could do the Comcast address, that would be great.

Hi Sieghard and list.

I live in Saskatoon, Canada, a city of about 300000.
Dragonfly has been delivering for amazon for 2 or 3 years now.
They ring my doorbell in a small apartment building, 24 units.
I say downstairs on the intercom.
I open the suite door and there is my parcel.
No complaints from me, but then again, I do not live in rural setting.

Hello everyone, my name is Wesly. I’m from Calgary and I recently got my hands on the EchoVision glasses. So far so good! Live AI works quite well and does the job quite efficiently at following you throughout your tasks. Providing efficient timely updates to what is going on in front of you.

Three days ago when looking for something for lunch, I went sorting through the freezer.
Inside the freezer I was looking for wraps which I quickly found as the glasses described each item, I moved in sequence. After this, I went to read the cooking instructions for the wraps and found the camera angle enjoyable to work with as I held the package comfortably in front of me not out in front of my face. As many sit with their phones in front of them mid-level they are comfortably able to interact with their phone. Other smart glasses have you hold your package or items in front of your face in an awkward position this change is quite welcome.

As for delivery services, it all depends on the driver and what the driver does should be reported. If they are traveling down a highway and throwing items out a window they should be fired just as quickly out the back door of the company they work for. I had a problem with a courier company two years ago that took forever to deliver an E bike. Claims of broken trucks and other delays put my Delivery from Amazon 10 days behind schedule. Unacceptable I turned around and phoned them and said in temperatures nearing 110°F. You have a item that may pose great danger to cargo and even drivers of that truck. A circulating E bike in that heat with a lithium battery. Attached is quite dangerous. Therefore this bike must be delivered ASAP. Five minutes later, my package arrived, and no more needed to be said. The problem in Canada is we’re too busy shaming ourselves and not holding other people accountable, including socially inadequate and out of place awkward clumsy Delivery drivers. But yes, it must be reported and I hope things change for those in rural settings.
