It is my understanding that the EchoVision glasses will have access to BeMyEyes and Aira out of the gate. Which is great for me, I don't use Aira because I can't afford them but I do use BeMyEyes and especially BeMyAI.

Aira still offers a free 5-minute call every so often and in quite a few situations 5 minutes is enough to be useful.
As for Be My Eyes, it is my understanding that you can call a Be My Eyes helper from the EchoVision glasses basically in the same way as you can call one using Ray-Ban Meta glasses. However, and maybe I am wrong, I don't think you can use the Be My AI aspect of Be My Eyes since EchoVision has their own AI so whatever you would ask Be My AI, you simply ask directly.

If that's the case, that's fine, in fact that might actually be better because it might be a whole lot more hands free than BeMyAI is.

Have you ever tried to get one of those free five minute calls? Every time I tried I was told that there were no agents available and that I should try again later. I just went to BeMyEyes, after a while I just gave up even bothering with Aira and just go strait to BeMyEyes. I don't even have the Aira app installed any more.

Yes, I have used the 5 minute free call many times, but it is certainly true that at times the agents are busy with paying callers. Still seems to work quite often and there are of course also the access offers, e.g. if you are trying to do something with Jaws and it is not accessible you can get help from Aira.

Hi,

Aira and Be My Eyes will be available right from the beginning. However, like the BME integration with Meta, only calling a live agent or volunteer is available, not the AI agents. As far as I know, BME also won’t be able to call your personal volunteer list, only the general volunteer pool. You just ask it to “call an agent” or “call Aira” for Aira, or “call Be My Eyes” or “Call a volunteer” for Be My Eyes.
