Update On Charging Case For the Pioneers Edition

Hi y’all,

We’ve heard your input on the button used to check the charging case’s battery level and the difficulty in identifying it tactually. 

On that front, we have good news and slightly less good news. The slightly less good news really isn’t that much less good though. 

Good news: Our production partners have helped us come up with a better button that will be easier to identify by touch. This button will be an integrated feature of the release version of EchoVision. 

News that is less good but not bad: We were not able to implement this button into the case that is going out in the Pioneers Edition. To address this, we will be putting a tactile sticker over the button. While not ideal, this will help with the problem of a flat button in the short term. So when you get your Pioneers hardware, you will be able to more easily find the button to check the case’s battery status. Be careful not to actively work at peeling off the tactile sticker, please. While taking it off won’t affect functionality, it may make finding the button more difficult. See? Not good, but not too bad either.
