Hello Lynn,
Agiga pointed out during various webinars that public Wi-Fi networks are not supported which is most likely why you could not connect to the Wi-Fi network the restaurant offers to their guests.
You then ask about the "car's Wi-Fi", but I assume you mean to the car's Bluetooth system since I am not aware of a car broadcasting a Wi-Fi network unless somebody had a dedicated personal hotspot permanently installed in their vehicle.
If you wanted to send whatever the glasses tell you through the car's Bluetooth sound system, you would have to treat that like an external audio device,, i.e. you would go into the EchoVision app, tap on Settings, then go to External Audio and if necessary the car's Bluetooth system may have to be put in pairing mode. Apart from hearing the glasses' output over the car's speakers, there is absolutely no benefit in connecting the glasses to a vehicle's Bluetooth system.
Finally, if you connect to your personal hotspot, I believe if I remember correctly all you hear is "Wi-Fi connected". However, you can press the camera button (on the left arm of the glasses) 3 times and it will then announce the battery level as well as the name of the Wi-Fi network you are connected to. In my case, it would say "Sieghard's iPhone 16 Pro" if I am not at home or at my business where it automatically connects to either my home Wi-Fi or the Wi-Fi at my store.
I have not yet found it necessary to set up these shortcuts to connect to the personal hotspot because so far each time I wanted to use the glasses when not at home or at twork, all I would have to do is to say "Siri, turn on personal hotspot". The other day I had left personal hotspot on, but as soon as I askd Siri to turn it on, it sayd "Sieghard's iPhone is now discoverable" or something along those lines and this was followed instantly by my glasses telling me that Wi-Fi was connected.
Best regards,
Sieghard

As I said, the only way to have Wi-Fi in a vehicle is either via a hotspot which would be a physical device or if somebody had Starlink satellite internet in their vehicle.
Hi, I have WIFI in my car, I just chose not to pay 19 dollars a month for it.
Tom.
~Hi Buddy and all, can some one please send me the web site for these glasses? I lost the email that had it.
Tom.

Maybe that is true in Canada but wifi is an option on some models here in the US. The way it works is that you pay per month for the LTE connection, just like you pay for your cell bill. Companies like OnStar offer it. The car has a wifi network in it which you connect to just like you connect to your home wifi.
