I just called the alex chat bot for echovision at;

650-889-5119

Very realistic;  I had to ask if it was human or a bot.

There was just enough  background noise to cause me to think it wsas a person.

One criticism;  it tries to answer my questions before I had finished asking it.

Must be those tom t hall songs.

No…see…Tom T., of course, was a very keen observer of humanity. Whereas, Alex is that kid who thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room but sleeps through class. That of course puts him behind the curve. Which is to say, at the moment, we need to update his training and data set, but we have other priorities at the moment, like making sure the EchoVision glasses are as stable and reliable as possible.

FWIW if you have the EV glasses, and hence the companion app as well there are other AI-based modalities to have chatbot conversations about the capabilities and features of the EV glasses.  A single press of the AI button will put you in Q&A (Scene Description) mode.  You can then ask it anything about the glasses.  There is also an in-app Assistant accessed via the Settings tab of the companion app.  Again, it can answer all sorts of questions about the EchoVision glasses.  All of these AI's suffer from versionitis and need to have their corpus of knowledge refreshed.  They should probably also have their corpus of knowledge expanded beyond just the User Guide to include the Trouble Shooting Guide and the FAQ.

And, yes, like most AI it can sometimes get it wrong.  I just asked via AI button 1x about the controls on the EV glasses that can be used with phone audio is routed to the glasses.  It got it mostly right, but described the volume control as being a swipe up and down on the touchpad on the left arm, rather than a swipe forward and back.  I've reported this mistake to AGIGA.

Om the whole though I really appreciate these features.  I just which folks would use them to get answers to their questions before flooding forums with questions that can be easily and conveniently answered by these bots.  Oh well.  Horses can be led to water, but not forced to drink.  ;-)
