AFCEANS, attached is our April Newsletter reminding everyone of our up coming 5th Annual USMC IT Day, along with an updated list of our reaming schedule of events for the year.
Also in this newsletter we are announcing a special Industry Mixer at the Globe & Laurel, Thursday April 24th, the week following our AFCEA USMC IT Day, with our special guest speaker and former Commander of US Cyber Command, General Keith Alexander. (Flyer attached on page 2 of the newsletter).
Along with General Alexander will be USMC CIO BGen Kevin Nally, and NIST Fellow Dr. Ron Ross. This will be one of Gen Alexander's first post retirement events, and for good reason. He will be focusing on our current and future climate of Cyber Operations and Cyber Security in our country. ALL sponsorship proceeds will go directly to the Wounded Warrior Combat Cyber Academy program.
You can register for this event separately at www.afcea-qp.org, and https://www.afcea-qp.org/event-registration/?ee=44 and number of guests will be limited. This will be a smaller more intimate gathering with plenty of opportunity to talk to Gen Alexander and Gen Nally one on one in the back court area of the Globe & Laurel. Our distinguished G&L host, Rick "The Major" Spooner will be on deck as well. We plan to make a special announcement for this event during our Wounded Warrior Combat Cyber Academy presentation for the same cause during our USMC IT Day event the week prior.
