FYI, Zoom's September 1 upgrade included a High Fidelity Audio option and it took me a while to figure out how to even turn it on!  I finally figured it out and made this little video to show you because it's not obvious at all.  I'd say it's not for the falling of heart:
  • They recommend a wired connection, not WiFi because it requires so much bandwidth.
  • It will monopolize your computer's CPU.  Don't expect to use your PC for much else while you're in the session.
  • It's all-or-nothing which is to say that once you turn it on, it's in effect for all Zoom meetings you have until you remember to turn it off.
To which I will add two things:
  • This is for a single computer, not for different people at their own homes trying to play together (though there are other products that do that, I'm told).
  • If the people watching have poor bandwidth I am sure it will look and sound bad no matter what you do.
  • Test, test and test again.
We have not used it as of yet and are trying to decide if it's worth the effort given the technical demands and the generally non-technical nature of the people who would like to do music.
