ADMB 12.3 will not run on Big Sur

I am running OS 11.5.1 – I was able to install 12.2 with no issues

 

When I double-click the ADMBTerminal.app in the dmg I get a message saying: “ADMBTerminal.app” is damaged and can’t be opened.

 

This issue is not fixed by changing the Security and Privacy setting to allow Apps from Anywhere nor do I get an option to Open Anyway.

 

I was able to fix the issue and run ADMB 12.3 by executing this line in the Terminal:

xattr -cr /path/to/ADMBTerminal.app

Thanks Charles for reporting and finding a solution, I will check and see if it can be fixed in the installer.
