To: ADL xAPI Design Cohort Season 3
Experiencing: Digital Citizens Cyber Security Awareness (DCCSA)
Digital Citizens' team efforts will focus on three areas: Students, School Teachers/Adminstrators & Parents.
Problem: Cyber Criminals are winning as Teachers, Students, Parents and Communities Are Disconnected Solution: Create Jobs - Preparing Millennials to Lead in Cyberspace (click here for survey)
Hypothesis: Cyber Awareness will move the digital to future generations as positive experiences and will act as a multiplier to protect data, identities and valuable assets in turning the tide against Cyber Crime.
Main question asked that addresses problem: What do you want to protect?
Experiences: Find 3 experiences that answer the question above via exploring content from "the National Cyber Security Alliance, "STOP. THINK. CONNECT., the global cybersecurity education and awareness campaign." Tech TY is a partner of STOP. THINK. CONNECT, The Security Awareness Company and other relevant social media sources.
xAPI Activities: Use xAPI to embed code in the following activities: Crawlers for relevant transmedia content, Surveys, play a game called Pin-A-Pirate (see attachment) with 3D WebGL stereoscopic scenes for 3D Viewers, dashboards, open badges and reports including sentiment analysis. Create event for National Cyber Security Awareness Month in October 2015.
Team members: Sandy Masin – Tech TY - VP, Brant Biskup (Tech TY Intern from UCF), Peterson Civil (Tech TY Intern from UCF), Danielle Gaeta (Lyman High School Intern), Tin Can (assist interns with xAPI).
Platforms for Project: Tin Can SCORM xAPI, Github, Unity 3D & open source cloud platform as a service (PaaS)
Bounties: Simulation Controlled Vocabulary and Transmedia
Benefits: Digital Citizens – learn about cybersecurity, cyberethics, and cybersafety and become cyber resilient; DOD ADL – create controlled vocabulary and get xAPI more widely recognized, adopted and implemented. TEAM - making the world a more cyber secure, safer and ethical place!
