- Approved: Agenda/Minutes last meeting

- ADL, AICC, IEEE LTSC, LETSI updates
None.

- Standing up WG11 - operational issues
Anticipating the 1484.11.1 revision, the definition of a revision was clarified as "a document that updates or replaces an existing IEEE standard in its entirety" .

An election will need to take place for WG11 three officers: chair, secretary, vice-chair. Don Holmes, the LTSC chair, will serve as the election processor. WG11 members will need to nominate 1 or more WG members per role. The nomination period will need to be open for at least 14 days with nominations submitted to Don. After the nomination period the WG will ballot the candidates in a WG telecon. The IEEE LTSC sponsor executive committee will subsequently need to approve the chair and vice-chair positions. (Note: the nomination period has not yet started)

- Standing up WG 11 - external coordination and positioning with IEEE-related organizations
Several IEEE-related organizations that may be relevant to the IEEE LTSC were reviewed.

The IEEE 802.11 GET program provides free access to IEEE 802 series of standards by soliciting sponsors to defray the costs. This is a potential model for free access to 1484 standards:s http://standards.ieee.org/getieee802/index.html

The Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO) can optionally produce IEEE standards that are free to SISO member. This is a possible model for how WG11 standardization might be incorporated into the scope of another organization like LETSI: s http://www.sisostds.org/

The IEEE Technical Committee on Learning Technology is under the IEEE Computer Society. It's focus seems to be on research and advanced technologies. It produces publications, holds events, and has good international participation. It might be a source of for new ideas and broader participation for WG11: s http://lttf.ieee.org/

The IEEE Conformity Assessment Program (ICAP) is a collaboration between the IEEE Standards Association and the IEEE ISTO (home of LETSI). It may provide a resource for developing conformance testing strategies for the 1484.11 series of standards: http://www.ieee-isto.org/icap-program

The IEEE Computer Society delivers online training on technical subjects and may be an adoption candidate for WG11 standards: http://www.computer.org/portal/web/e-learning/home

Reminder: this reflector will continue to be used for several weeks as WG11 is stood-up. It may continue to be used longer to communicate general CMI/SCORM harmonization issues. However, parties who wish to participate in, or follow, the data model revision should subscribe directly to the IEEE LTSC reflector for WG11.

The reflector is: ltsc...@listserv.ieee.org

To subscribe to the reflector send mail to: list...@listserv.ieee.org

The message body should contain only the following:

subscribe ltsc-cmi <full name>

example: subscribe ltsc-cmi John Doe

If you every wish to unsubscribe from the reflector

send the message: signoff ltsc-cmi
