to CMI Harmonization
Dear All,

WG11 in the IEEE LTSC will soon begin work on a revision of the IEEE 1484.11.1-2004 standard. The current standard is a data model based on the AICC CMI specification and widely used in the SCORM 2004 runtime environment. The revision is anticipated to address adopter concerns, support usage in a Web service context, and be broadly relevant to ADL, the AICC, LETSI and other communities of practice.

WG11 is soliciting participation in the form of observers/advisors, voting members, and officers. WG11 holds weekly telecons on Fridays at 8am US Pacific time and uses an email reflector for communication. Participation in WG11 is open to all interested parties. Observer/advisor status is free. WG11 membership requires IEEE LTSC membership which costs $25 per year and allows member participation in all IEEE LTSC working groups.

WG11 email reflector:
All interested parties should subscribe to the WG11 email reflector: ltsc...@listserv.ieee.org. Details on how to subscribe are appended to the end of this message.

WG11 Membership:
Working group membership allows one to vote on working group issues, ranging from motions made in meetings to the election of WG officers. WG membership is highly recommended if you plan to actively participate in the WG. As mentioned, there is an annual fee of $25 for IEEE LTSC membership.

Parties making nominations and the parties who are nominated should be WG11 members (or in the process of becoming members by December 3). You may nominate yourself.
