Hi everyone!

We’re excited to release Node Manager 2.10, which contains two new features that make it a lot easier to manage a whole swarm of devices: on the node overview screen there is a new card for searching other nodes — the admin port addresses are guessed based on the discovered swarm ports, so this works best if all ports are at their default values. This means that you need to connect only to one node in the swarm and can then bulk add all other nodes with two clicks.

The second feature — the new “Settings” screen — allows you to edit a specific node setting (like /swarm/topic or /admin/authorizedUsers) across all connected nodes in one go, meaning that you can for example add a new admin key on the whole swarm with very little effort. To use it, enter the settings scope into the input field and notice how valid scopes lead to a single config value to show up in the editor (if there is a consistent setting across the swarm already) or “multiple values” being hinted at to the right of the input box. If unsure which scopes exist and what kind of values go there, you may refer to the details page of some specific node; the settings of that node can also serve as a source to copy-and-paste into the swarm settings editor.

We hope you’ll like these additions and as always welcome any feedback you might have, be that here or on Discord.

Regards,

Roland
