OTCO is hiring an Inspector. 

SUMMARY

The Inspector works with certification staff and clients to assess overall compliance of operations to regulatory standards through on-site observations and evaluation.  The Inspector travels to conduct interviews of operations, audits records, and provides technical assistance to support the needs of clients in the area of inspection. The Inspector works with certification staff to enhance the program through continuous improvement.

 

Applicants must be located within the United States.

 

The salary range for this position is $54,500 to $73,000.  The total pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience and training, location, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographical differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  This position also qualifies for a hiring bonus of $5,000 gross. At Oregon Tilth, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the posted pay range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  

  

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or minimum 4 years equivalent work experience
• Experience working in professional office environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Inspector Level 2
• All of the above
• Minimum 2 years professional experience directly related to third-party certifications
• Mastery of Inspector tasks, requirements and relevant standards
  
  

PREFERRED SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Experience working in a regulatory environment
• Experience with inspections and auditing
• Experience in agriculture or food science
