Ambari Startup Error: ambari commons.exceptions.FatalException: "Fatal exception: Unable to access /var/run/ambari-server directory.

/var/run/ambari-server is a default directory (see attached) for running ambaris and store process related files..

You may note have the access right if you use other than root in set up ambari (ie. you customize the user), in that case you need to reset the access right so that the process running

ambari has the access right:

Existing Owner:

drwxr-xr-x  2 root       60 Aug 13 13:28 ambari-server

Change Owner:

sudo chown hduser:hduser -R /etc/ambari-server/
