Can anyone help with the following question?

"What relic of David's was buried by George?"

All I can come up with is George Washington burying Davy Crockett's
hatchet, but I can find no reference to the subject anyplace.

Thanks for any help.

Could it be this? Extract from a plot summary of "Bringing up Baby"
(1938):

"David wants to leave and go back to his work, but George, the family
dog, buries a bone that David brought with him, which was the crucial
final part of his uncompleted brontosaurus, so he has to stay and find
it, with Susan's help."

Specifically, an intercostal clavicle.
