Thanks Derek,

I do like that setting better. Why the heck is that not on to start with?

Because some people like it better the other way.

However, that is one of the reasons that if you execute "Install
Director's Cut" it'll turn that sequence on.

That's too cool! Any chance this "Director's Cut" adds more or different
rules?

Keith,
Just wanted to let you know you have done a great job with this game. I have
had about a dozen epeople over so far to try it out and they all loved it. It
is so deep and flows great. Only thing I do not like is how the right inlane
always lights the path of the dead. Really cuts down on how much you get to
hit the tower shot. Anyway great job it is fun for both beginners and yet very
challening for regular players. Hopefully you will do the software on Steve
Ritchie's new game. I have a feeling with him designing and you doing the
software especially with Stern's new computer system. You guys could make the
#1 game of all time with LOTR falling in the top three.
Thanks Again for all your hard work to keep pins alive.
From
Derek and all the new LOTR owners out there

Oh yeah, what else does "directors cut" do?

I don't have the adj #s on me at this time, but basically it sets

Cave troll sequence - ON
Early tower crash - OFF
Game start balrog roar - OFF
Consolation balrog - NONE

Yeah...since posting I have figured that out. I prefer to have the
Balrog roar on and the consolation balrog and the early tower
crash....for the newbs.

Damn what a great game this is!

I'll second that. I know I'm still an over-excited new owner...but
this game is outstanding! I can honestly say it is in my top 3
ALLTIME! I just hope it holds up over the years, if it does than it
will go down in history as one of the greatest pins ever.

Allow me to add my voice to this chorus.

"Lord of the Rings" is an absolutely fantastic pin and currently has a
well-earned place in my all-time top five. A huge "Thank You," Keith, to
both you and the entire team at Stern. This may, if I can free up the money,
be my first New In Box purchase.

...although the fiancee wants a TSPP more -- not that I'm complaining, mind
you ;)...

-Iain

[Good time to get a new pin, Lloyd. Congratulations to you as well!]

What is the "consolation balrog"?

Buy a TSPP and a LOTR this Christmas, I can speak from experience (have one)
that TSPP is great. I am *dying* to get my hands on the buttons of a LOTR
ASAP.

I am sure that will be an awesome game as well as TSPP. (cringing now thinking
I may need to spend another 3600.00) :)

Hard enough scraping together the three grand (or so) for a TSPP, let alone
another four!

But isn't it _nice_ to *want* to buy new pins again?

Darn Right Iain! Two releases (speculating on LOTR, but based on the group I
have *very* high hopes) in a row that are deep, fun, MUST HAVE games! If they
keep this up, I may have to ride my big wheel to work so I can sell the truck
:)

Well i'm not the expert but it appears to me to allow you to start the
"Bash Balrog" mode two different ways: Hitting the right VUK several
times (3-4?) and also by hitting the mystery in the left VUK.

I absolutely concur with Derek.
Thank you for staying in the game and producing new pins for us.
Every game has gotten better and better over the last few years and I
am eagerly anticipating your next release.
Thanks to all at Stern, Please keep up the great work!

Just to go on record, TSPP and LOTR were not "in-a-row" games. T3 separated
them. Not commenting on T3 at all, just qualifying your statement.
