Thanks for the tip on gasbuddy.com
========================================================
Gaspricewatch.com has been down for a LONG time now, and
I think they threw in the towel. I was really curious
as to what happened and their mysterious disappearing act
fueled my curiosity. I even went so far as to search out
the founders as well as call the WHOIS contact number, but
it's like everyone vanished. Oh well... eventually someone
will have the scoop. Anyone know?
On another note...
As good a job as gasbuddy does, there is one feature missing
from their look up: SEARCH BY ZIP / DISTANCE. Gaspricewatch
had the ability to enter a zipcode and MILE RADIUS, and it
would bring up all the gastations within the specified radius.
After looking and looking, I believe I found another gas-price
with potential that has the zip/radius feature:
They offers the zip and radius, and are also "member" updated.
I will still check gasbuddy, but I think gas123 may suit me
better.
They even answer emails! (I emailed the gasbuddy people about
a ZIP / RADIUS feature a few times but got no response.) Let's
hope they stay the course and don't go the way of gaspricewatch.
Anyway, I too am always looking for new gas look up sites,
especially now since the prices are once again on the rise.
Feel free to pass along any tips, especially if they are in
the california area and have a zip / radius lookup!

uh. seems some prices are as old as "dec", presumably 2002
i think the problem is few submittals. i know i've never submitted a price
to any gas watch site.
After being down for a couple months, the
site now says:
"This site is under re-design. Please check back in a few days.
Thank You."
Fingers crossed!
