: So will Madonna cry for Barbara Walters on Oscar Night?
That would be truly horrible.
: By the way it is a great move to get her out of that MTV rut!
: Nobody is watching MTV...and she needs to move on to more legit forums!
Please don't take this as a flame, but: You say "legit", I say "square".
People like Barbara Walters have no understanding of Madonna's work, no
sympathy for her world view, no connection to who she is. MTV, for all its
shortcomings, has those things. Barbara Walters is a suit; Madonna is Rock
and Roll. Barbara Walters is into light entertainment; Madonna sees
herself as an artist, and so does MTV. A Barbara Walters interview might
get Madonna a wider audience than one on MTV, but MTV can give her a
fairer hearing. You won't find many interviews with Madonna better than
the ones she's done with Kurt Loder for MTV.
And I still watch MTV.
: So from her castle near Hollywood Lake comes the first legit interview.
It wouldn't be her first "legit" (square) interview, by a longshot.

This is news to me! It'll be a good interview, whether she cries
or not. On the cynical tip, showing some emotion would do her a world of
good so far as getting attention goes.
Who will the other guests be? Any idea?
