My system clock is drifting weirdly; overnight it went from
12 hours off to 14 hours off. So, I set the time using
the GUI thingee, and when I click "Apply" I get an alert:

+=======================================+

Clock has bee

+=======================================+
[OK]
+=======================================+

CLOCK HAS BEE. Sorry about clock. You right. Clock has bee.

Okay, let's figure this one out. Maybe the programmers are
trying to avoid buffer overflows by only printing the first
half of each message? Or maybe once the OS saw the letters
b,e,e, it switched into bee mode, in which the remaining
text is displayed using ultraviolet letters that only
bees can see. Maybe or clock has bee. OK clock has bee.

This reminds me: I caught just a snippet of Sunday's
_Futurama_, in which all these 80's video game characters
try to conquer Earth in a giant Space Invaders ship. One
of the creatures bouncing down the gangplank was chanting,
"all -- your -- base -- are -- belong -- to -- us"

You'd see this reported on every single tech-savvy online
news source, from slashdot to Wired, if only anyone actually
watched Futurama.

You don't understand.

The fact that Futurama was actually SHOWN instead of pre-empted by football is
much more cooler and better news then some sort of goofy old catch line.

No one really wants to jinx it, you see. Better to shut up and endure some
cheese then speak up and see it all go away.

"I've still got a few tricks up my sleeve. Watch, as I fire upwards
through our OWN SHIELDS!"

I think the AYBABTU reference could have been done better. Or would
have been better saved for a sequel involving 90's video game
characters.

Futurama kicks 27 varieties of ass.

What about those spinning Mooninites who took over
Meatwad's room in Aqua Teen Hunger Force? Hmm? WHY
IS THERE A CONSPIRACY OF SILENCE ON THEM?

I saw that episode, twice. It ruled too. But I hesitated to comment
because it struck me as too geeky to post to ARK.

Well, what would you have me post?

"AQUA TEEN HUNGAR FOARCE RUELZ BECOZ IT HAS AN ATARI EPISODE!"

People who were on ICQ when I watched it might have heard something
from me on the topic, but I didn't see it as postworthy.

bigger "pixels".
