Is there a way to do a print screen or get a printout of the screens
inside scoadmin. I am typing up documentation on the scoadmin utility
for new hires and having those printouts would make my life easier.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Oscar

But considering all the documentation, complete with illustrations,
that's already provided by SCO, why do you need to write anything else?

Because it never hurts to see things from a different perspective.

Unlike some folks (perhaps you) who can read one man page and gain total
comprehension, I find that the more different takes I read, the better my
understanding. That's one of the reasons I like this newsgroup, and it is
the primary reason I invite people to submit docs and articles to my website-
whether exemplary or otherwise, a different viewpoint can often help.

We have done exactly this. The best way I have found is to connect with an
emulator either serially or via network from a windows PC and do an
<Alt><PrintScreen> . This will only print the contents of the active
window. If you want it even prettier, you can edit it and cut out the
emulator menu bar and other things. Hope this helps.

I also frequently create how-to tutorials for clients by using the
Alt-Printscreen in Windows, with a terminal emulator like Anzio, to copy
the current window, then Paste it into MS Word. That way the tutorial shows
the exact screen nicely.

If you are running SCOADMIN is the graphical mode
then you can;

$ xwd -nobdrs -out FILENAME

This will capture the image of a window you point to
and create an xwd image file. Use xv or gimp to manipulate
the image and save it in your favorite image format.

Maybe Oscar could cut the pictures out of the manuals.
