The Celtics and Timberwolves had a trade all set to go, Ed Pinckney for
Mike Brown. But T-Wolves' GM Jack McCloskey called the Celts and said they
were rescinding the deal; apparently, there was too much discord among the
powers that be in Minnesota about it -- coach Sid Lowe didn't want Brown to
go, for one thing.
Pinckney was philosophical about the whole thing. At least it's not like
what happened with Olden Polynice, he said, where "he flew across the
country and had to turn back around again. Guess it's something I'll tell
my grandchildren about."
Well, so much for a deal that most *certainly* would've shifted the balance
of power in the NBA...

As a Celtic lover and a T-wolf sympathizer I'm offended. I had those teams
picked for the finals in the eastern conference.

I kid because I LOVE.
