Heat would be the reason more than rainy season. The rainy season starts near
the end of july through october (which is also the hurricane season). Iff your
looking at islands to go to, I have been to St. Kitts and Nevus, both are
beautiful, but small. The four seasons in nevus is spectacular, and since I've
been there they have built a new Marriott resort on St. Kitts. Another Island
option near there (and I went for half of my honeymoon the other half was in
lake louise) is barbados. Sandy lane is the place I stayed which is on the
carib. side of the island. Used miles and points to go. Remember if you go to
a British Island, usually the resorts will require a jacket for men (kris) at
night.

I went there when i was in 7th grade with my parents, heh... it was
great at the time, hehe. Went to St Thomas, stayed in, umm, Bolongo Bay
I think it was called. Really nice place, you walked out of your room
and you were 20 feet from the water.

my wife and i honeymooned there after getting married on the beach at st.
john. this was in mid-to-late May, and the weather was nothing short of
scrumtrelescent. in fact, the only storm we saw happened just before we
got married, which cleared out the beach so we had it all to ourselves as
the sun came back out. :^D

of course, this does not mean the weather is normally great that time of
year, but it was when we went. but i thought you would appreciate the
data point. anyway, have fun, we sure did!

that close to the equator heat would definately be pretty intense.. imagine
the humidity would be also.

OFF SEASON = CHEAP
I spent last May there(st John) and it was great, only a couple rainy
days, if anything nice showers here and there...The heat wasnt much of a factor
for me, it will hit you right when you get off the plane but after an hour you
get used to it. If you are looking to find stuff to do down there, hitch hiking
is the easiest way to get around and best way to get info on the island...i say
go and dont worry about the weather, i was down there for a month and it was
great...

Rent a villa on St. John for 7-10 days. Get a rental jeep, too. On
St. John, you'll spend most of your days on perfect and uncrowded
beaches. St. John has some of the world's best snorkeling. Much of
the island is undeveloped and there are great hiking trails. Take the
ferry to St. Thomas and spend a day shopping. Sign up for a day
cruise on the party boat at the Westin Resort with snorkeling stops at
the Baths (giant boulders everywhere) and other areas in the BVI.
Also on BVI, make sure you attend Bomba's Full Moon Party where
mushroom tea is served semi-legally.

>Rent a villa on St. John for 7-10 days

we got some brochures today and for 2k we can get a luxery villa on the beach
of tortola, a jeep rental for a week, breakfasts every morning, three dinners
and a snorkling boat trip. I am worried bout the heat and humidity tho, cuz i
can't stand super hot temps

thanks so much for all the advice and please feel free to add more.
