As soon as I put the mouse on a group it starts the all download,
which could be 20,000 headers. Is there a Stop hotkey or a way to
get it to wait until you can use the "sample" headers command?
I didn't see anything in the FAQ.
TIA

At the bottom, on the left it says "Tasks". Click on that and it opens a
pane where you can stop a download (it's the two icons in the top left of
that pane).
To sample headers, right click on the newsgroup, select "download
articles..." and that brings up a "download __ most recent headers"
window.
Pan is not very intuitive and I've not found any help files. Anything I
know is from exploring the program and clicking all the different
settings to see what they do. Don't forget right clicks in your
explorations.

Cool. Thanks. I thought Pan maybe in an earlier version
stopped on Control-S but I'm not sure.

Yes I found that one. Just didn't know how to stop.

You've been a great help. Thanks again. :)

Hmm, so far it just seems to ignore the cancel. It just goes
and finishes the download anyway. Guess that's why it's a beta. :)
Oh well, maybe later they'll fix it. :)
