Pokerroom is OK on a Mac, but just OK since you have to
play the Java version...

Try Victoria's Poker (http://www.victoriaspoker.com)

They have a "Real" Mac client (as well as PC) Nice group of
players there.....Mike

P.S. I have no affiliation with them.....

Yes I have. I don't play for real money because I prefer UB.

I am glad that someone has the brains to code in Java. This makes the game
availible to people who don't use Micro$oft crap.

It pisses me off that I have to keep a system with Windoze just so I can
play poker. Ironic that Chris Ferguson Ph.D in Computer Science is a poker
winner, and started on IRC Poker, yet Winoze is the prominannt base O/S.
Bet he did not learn on Windoze. (For those of you wondering about the
irony, let me explain. Those of us who are technically inclined prefer to
use ANYTHING that is not Micro$oft. Including but not limited to an Abacus
for accounting, stone tablets for word processing, smoke signals for
'email', etc...)

Wake up cardrooms.

Exactly!

"Wake up cardrooms" !!!!!!!!!!!

Don't you realize if you put together the software to run on a Mac you could
be making $20,004,000 per month instead of only #20,000,000 per month.

Idiots!!!!!!!

That's not even vaguely ironic. For that matter, it's not even coherent.

May I guess: you read slashdot sixteen times a day, right? (Not a compliment.)

Pokerroom rocks on a Mac. Games are quick to download and quick to
play. Been there for over a year, very happy with it.

Downloaded the client, can't tell you how it works because they never
bothered sending me a code when I signed up. Give them a pass.

Well, let's see. In the last year, I've played 30,000 hands, 99% of
them at PokerRoom, because they're the only online site that works with
my computer without emulation.

Think maybe the rake I generated in that time was worth something?

Think maybe that I'm not the only player who's done this?

I'm on a Mac too. I've never played anywhere else but Pokerroom, so I
can't compare it to other online casinos.

I've been playing there for over a year and am totally satisified with
the site. I guess my only complaint is this: because they are one of
the smaller sites, sometimes game selection is pitiful. And I only
mention this because I was trying to think of something negative to
say about Pokerroom.

I'm pretty sure they refund that back once you play a certain amount of
hands tho right?

Perhaps I'm pointing out the obvious, but if you have a Mac with a fair
bit of horsepower and a ton of memory (read: 1 gig), then Virtual PC
from www.connectix.com works well when emulating Windows 2000. I use
it for Paradise and Ultimate Bet with no problems.

having a dream, but I eat the potato chips anyway.
