(I posted this to the mailing list about 4 weeks ago and didn't get
much response. I'm repeating it to the newsgroup to see if there is
interest in holding a workshop...)

I am thinking about hosting a workshop on TCL/TK this summer at
Berkeley. I'm sending this message to see if there is enough
interest to justify holding the workshop and to solicit input on the
topics and activities in which people would be interested. If you
are interested in attending a workshop, please take a few minutes to
fill-in the questionnaire below and return it to me at la...@cs.berkeley.edu.

TCL/TK Workshop Questionnaire

Would you be interested in attending a 2-3 day workshop on TCL/TK?

Would you be interested in attending tutorials on using TCL/TK? If so,
indicate topics of interest:

Introduction to TCL/TK
Advanced topics on TCL/TK
Writing widgets for TK
Writing applications with embedded TCL
Using "expect" to implement applications

What other tutorial topics would interest you?

Would you be interested in hearing about and seeing demonstrations of
applications that people have written using TCL/TK?

Should commercial vendors selling either TCL/TK tools or products be
encouraged to attend and participate?

Should there be formal papers similar to Usenix or an ACM SIG conference
(e.g., SIGGRAPH, SIGMOD, etc.)? I assume that we would organize a small
program committee and select the best submitted papers for presentation.

Would you write a paper for the workshop?

Should attendance at the workshop be limited in any way? For example, some
workshops require people to submit an abstract describing their related
activities so that only a small number of experienced people attend.

How many days should the workshop last?

1 day
2 days
3 days

Which weeks do you think would be the best to hold the workshop?

1 June 6 July 3 August
8 June 13 July 10 August
15 June 20 July
22 June 27 July
29 June

What is your interest/background in TCL/TK?
