Curiosity got the better of me, Dorothy, so searched for a description
of the syndrome you are inclined to believe I have.

I found this brief description, some of which certainly describes me:

In Asperger's Disorder, affected individuals are
characterized by social isolation and eccentric behavior
in childhood.

Try as I might, I was not always able to achieve social isolation, but
I ceratinly can't be faulted for trying. ;)

No question that "typical" can't be used to describe my behavior, so I
reckon' "eccentric" will do.

>There are impairments in two-sided social interaction and non-verbal
>communication.

Only two-sided and non-verbal? :(

>Though grammatical, their speech is peculiar due to abnormalities of
>inflection and a repetitive pattern.

That's me, except I'm not exceptionally grammatical. :(

>Clumsiness is prominent both in their articulation and gross motor
>behavior.

A ballet dancer I am not and I'm certainly not "sophisticated", so I
reckon I'll have to settle for being described as being "gross". :(

>They usually have a circumscribed area of interest which usually
>leaves no space for more age appropriate, common interests.

For example?

>Some examples are cars, trains, French Literature, door knobs,
>hinges, cappucino, meteorology, astronomy or history.

I was always much more interested in cartoons, climbing trees and
getting out of house chores then door knobs or cuppucino, but...

I suppose nobody's perfect. :(

Too bad there's no cure for "being me", Dorothy. I reckon' I'll just
have to struggle along with this syndrome, as I have always had
adverse reactions to any form of behavior modification. ;)

I hope you don't mind me leaving this un-encrypted, but I see no
reason to hide from who I am, anymore. <g>

Just kidding, Dorothy.

I'm probably in denial about who I am, anyway. :-O
