I often browse through my email by using the preview screen. (And I tend
to have MS Viewer switched on.)

Is there a way I can add headers which appear on a gray background at the
top of the preview screen? I currently see only "To" and "Subject".

I would like to add a "From" header. The top half of the screen shows me
only the name of the sender but I would like to see the whole "From" header
which would include the sender's email ID too.

Can I do this?

Thanks!

Joe

The PreviewHeaders= setting in eudora.ini controls which headers you see
in the preview pane. If you haven't changed it before, you'll probably
have to add the line to the [settings] section of the ini file. Eudora
needs tro be closed when you edit the file. See the eudora.ini section of
the help file for the default setting for this and many other settings.

Thanks Katrina, that worked really well!

Is there anything similar to this to determne which headers are shown in
the full-view pane and which extra headers are then shown by clicking the
button called "Show All Headers"?

I would like to hide a few more headers because one mailing list I receive
from yahoo gives me all sorts of extra headers in the preview pane like X-
Apparently-To, X-Sender, X-eGroups-Return, etc and I don't want to see
them!

Thank you.

TabooHeaders. Note that it works in the reverse.

Hi Adam, thanks for the reply.

What is TabooHeaders? Does it work with 5.1? If so where can I get more
info about it and where can I download it from?

Thanks for any further info!

You might want to check the help file under Eudora.ini for Taboo headers. It
probably has more info than you want.

TabooHeaders is a setting in eudora.ini. It isn't something that you get
from anywhere. If you want to use a setting other than the default, just
add the setting to the [settings] section of eudora.ini with any text
editor. (Always close Eudora before editing the file.) You can find out
more about this and other settings by looking at the section of the help
file called 'eudora.ini'.

Can I use other settings (eg. X-Yahoo-Profile) than the ones listed in the
help text?

You can enter any header you wish. But pay attention to what the Help
says about how it works.
