World Wide Web FAQ

Introduction

There are several World Wide Web newsgroups, and each of the groups
has its own Frequently Asked Questions posting (except for
comp.infosystems.www.advocacy).

IMPORTANT: A set of answers to introductory web questions can be found
in the newsgroup comp.infosystems.www.misc. If you do not have web access
yet, please go to that newsgroup and read the Frequently Asked Questions
(FAQ) posting of that group first. This posting is only a pointer.

THE HYPERTEXT VERSION IS MUCH MORE COMPREHENSIVE. If you have
web access, you will want to use it.

The complete FAQ is available from several sites. If you can, you will
want to access it through the web. Use the site closest to you in the
language you prefer (non-English sites are marked);
