About a year ago, Acorn Publishing department (as was) provided me with a new
window manager to speed up the desktop operation on the Risc PC600. Basically it
was to stop Publisher et al grabbing all the null events and allowed me to use a
scanner and OCR at the same time, at a reasonable speed. It was last upgraded
in Marcg 95 when the PC card came out.

The problem now is that it clashes with the new filecore and I have had to
remove one of the filecore modules (NewMess) to get them to work together.

The contents of my window manager are as follows:

Wimp version 3.63u (15 Mar 1995 (Publishing))
NewMess version 0.00 (05 Sept 1994)
SetMemMap version 0.01 (23 Dec 1994)
SpriteExtend version 0.99 (29 Mar 1995)

The NewMess 0.01 (18th July 1995), which is part of the new filecore, causes the
computer to hang during initialisation while the window manager is loaded and I
have had to remove it. This means that messages relating to filecore are
missing.

The question is what modules are present in RISCOS 3.6 on the RPC700? I think
that what I have was a fore-runner to the 3.6 window manager set, which
obviously does work with the new filecore in its entirety.

As Acorn Publishing dept are now defunct, nobody at Acorn knows anything about
my wimp and I am unable to get any help from them. Could anyone with access to
a RPC700 and RISCOS 3.6 please help me to sort out which versions of modules
will work together?

I would be very grateful for any help.
