All,

Has anyone been able to create an offline SUS server?

I want to use it for a lab environment.

I have an online SUS server and just want to copy off the "needed"
files and load them onto my offline SUS server. The offline machine is
configured the exact same way as my online, but I cannot/don't want to
contact the Internet.

DON: You had a thread concerning this with Thomas back March 25,
2003. You mentioned an unofficial document... Any word on this?

Thanks for all the help,
George

Haven't tried it, but surely if you just copied the updates you wanted to
\Sus\content\CABS
it would work?

Tried that, the client downloads the patches (folders) but do not install
them. The cab folders are present but nothing in the folders.

J,

Put the files:
a.. approveditems.txt
a.. aucatalog.cab
a.. aurtf.cab
in the wwwroot - make sure they are not read only.

Copy the contents to sus/contents

Set the server to update to itself and it should work.
