I just found a bug in Thunderbird which is not yet filed in Bugzilla.

But since Thunderbird development is in its very early stages, I am a
bit reluctant to file a bug for this.

Scott/Gerv/Myk, will there be a Thunderbird Product or Component when
it's time to file bugs against Thunderbird?

from what I know, yes.

Scott is pretty active in the MozillaZine forums, which has it's own
Thunderbird Bugs forum, might want to report it there for now.

Thanks tve. That's exactly right. For now, please report Thunderbird
issues in the Thunderbird Bugs forum. Of course if you can reproduce the
bug in mozilla mail, then go ahead and file it in bugzilla. But
thunderbird specific issues should go to the forum for now.

And thanks for trying Thunderbird!

I'll use this opportunity to ask a question:

What's the rationale behind the decision to de-news-ify Thunderbird (as
ist already visible in "Get Mail" instead of "Get Messages")?

It will still be a news client, so why shall it be named "Mozilla Mail"
in future and not "Mozilla MailNews"?

I really hope that Tunderbird won't remove newsgroups, I just switched
recently (last weekend) and I'm quite happy with it :-)
About newsgroups, I miss the online/offline status.
Right now seems there is no way to download newsgroups messages to be
read later offline... or I missed it?

News is a second class citizen =). But it is still a citizen for
Thunderbird. We have no plans to remove News support. But we have no
plans for adding more features to news at this time. Bigger fish to fry
right now.

Fixing some very old bugs would suffice. ;-)

Yeah, of course.
