Following the shock announcements of last week, I would
like to make clear Dalriada's position vis-a-vis Acorn
developments.

Firstly, we remain "open" and will continue to support
and develop our existing software. As concrete evidence
of this, we will shortly be releasing TableMate Designer
Release 2.

Secondly, we will be taking steps to minimise our
expenditure whilst the situation remains unresolved.
Should the worst come to the worst, then we will be
able to remain active for longer. This may affect
the form some new products take, but remedial action
will be taken if necessary. Stocks of all existing
products are currently good (ie. circa 4-5 months),
so no immediate effect should occur.

Thirdly, if we can postively contribute to any continu-
ation of RiscOS, then we will do so. If this doesn't
happen, expect Dalriada to reappear on the Mac - a
move which has in fact been a possibility for some
time, but never happened due to time constraints.

It is perhaps unfortunate that this coincides with my
own decision to take up a post at Middlesex University
as of September 1st in coordinating their Distributed
Web Authoring research group's technical and day-to-day
research activities. Over the last year my health has
declined badly, and I decided that staying alive was
probably good user support ;-)

All sales etc should go to Gloria Trewick c/o Dalriada's
Warwick postal address, or by phone on 01926 511995.
Ironically, I actually have more time to develop software
now!
