Tremendous crap. Never before did so much typing achieve so little.

Just be your asshole self. You are doing perfectly.
Don't try using algebra like Marcel used to do.

Dear Marcel,

Thank you for letting us know about Mr. G. Walton's treatise:
"Sapere Aude". I think it is a pivotal work which will influence the future
of Relativistic Physics for years to come.

We can only hope that the physics establishment will see reason and give
credit where it is due.

Enjoy, Len.

You are new to the group, so don't be so quick to draw that
conclusion. The cuckoo birds come here on a revolving door
schedule, since this place can only hold a limited number of
crackpots at one time. Just when you think you heard it all, up
pops the next one and the concept of "unbelievable" takes on new
meaning. (With that said, Marcel _is_ prime meat in anyone's
list of crackpots.)

I stand corrected.

In my limited personal experience, this "theory" is a waste of electrons.

BUT THERE COULD BE WORSE

Better, Stephen?

Yeah, like the Rydberg constant varying locally with
clock retardation.

Yes. Just wait to behold spectacles you have never dreamed
possible. sci.physics.relativity can be a wonderous place,
taking you to vistas beyond your comprehension, all brought about
by the most unbelievable crackpots imaginable. The best has yet
to come. As loony as Marcel is, the bottom of the pit of
crackpots has not yet been found, and I can almost see the crack
in the door as the next crackpot prepares to make entry here. Be
afraid. Be very afraid. And, don't forget to put on an aluminum
beanie to make Marcel and his ilk feel more comfortable and at
home.

Stephen Speicher said some stuff about
Re: The Special Relativity hoax. to usenet:
You forgot to mention that the beanies work best when the wearer's
feet are well grounded and the beanie is attached to a 10 kV 10 A
power supply (positive or negative is ok) although a 30kV hi-potter
will do in a pinch.

A good idea, but the latest, most modern techniques circumvent
such a power supply. I recently received a sales flier from the
"Scientists of New Atlantis," whose web site
http://www.AtlanteanScience.com should be up within a month or
two. The featured item, which I type in exactly as it appears on
the flier, between the two lines of asterisks, minus the picture.

I suspect that some of our, er...how shall I say it...some of our
more noticeably "out there" residents here must be good customers
of this company.

p.s. I did not make this stuff up. When the web site comes up
you can see for yourself, or you can spend the $5 for
the catalog. Unbelievable stuff.

I know exactly where Stephen is coming from. But don't jump to the
conclusion this is only a forum for loony birds. If it was I certainly
would not bother. We have genuine experts who post here as well, people
like Stephen himself, Bilge, Steve Carlip and now it seems one of my
favorites may have returned -Tom Roberts. I have actually leant a lot from
these. Regardless of your knowledge I think you could learn from
participating as well. Just treat the loony birds as a bit of a joke.

Thanks
Bill
