We at Clares are very sorry to see so many good friends loose their jobs at
Acorn.
As in the past when Acorn have been through these catastrophes (remember the
Olivetti rescue ?) we will remain loyal. But our loyalty lies with our
customers and the PEOPLE in Acorn and not necessarily with Acorn (the
company).
We have no intention of moving to PC but we will now start to look at
alternatives so that we can advise our customers eg LINUX.
It is still very early days in all of this and something may yet salvage the
situation. Look at some of the big ex Acorn companies about, Eidos, PACE and
others I am sure. Maybe someone might see the opportunity.
Anyway, we intend to continue supporting and developing our software as well
as offering the required items for upgrading your RiscPC.
