It occurs to me toask if anyone obtained R 15 COS as a
car licence plate?

Yes.

Acorn did.

It was planned to be auctioned at Acorn World (honest) I believe. The DVLA
rules would only allow it to be transferred to a vehicle first registered on
or after 1st August 1997.

Didn't Stewart Palmer have it on his car at one point?

Presumably R15 CPC is still available...

I find this interesting as I suggested to Peter Bondar himself after a
Wakefield Acorn Computer Group meeting about two years ago, that Acorn buy
the 'R15C OS' plate to put on one of its vehicles as a publicity device. He
rejected the idea, citing the replacement of Risc OS with Galileo, and that he
thought the licence plate system was going to change before it got to 'R'.

At the time he was driving an Audi A4 with 'ART' as part of the licence
plate.

Incidentally, there was someone advertising the R15C PC plate on the
cybervillage noticeboard about a year ago.

How about MICR 050 FT as a plate for Stan Boland!
