Has anyone received their copy of Tribulations from darktales.com yet?
I sill haven't received mine.

PS--Whew--I'm back! The newsgroups were down on Webtv all day!

I have. I think it took about 21/2 weeks to arrive after ordering which
annoyed me since they'd sent shipping confirmation the day after I'd ordered. I
guess they had to do that in order for the credit card processor to pay them.
They also sent it 'special first class' which seems to be about 1/4 step above
book rate (or at least everything I've ever gotten that had been shipped that
way arrived when the moon was full, the stars propitious and the postman was in
a specially good mood).

The book seems nicely put together and tightly bound. I did have to giggle a
little, though, since there were credits in the back for editing and proofing
but the same errors that showed up on Bookface.com are in the book. I found
them easier to ignore when I thought that the story went from JMS' modem
straight online. Even he's not perfect. I guess proofing these days consists
of clicking on the little icon with the 'abc' and check mark on it. I won't go
into editing.

So far my experience with on demand publishing has only a lukewarm 'average'
rating. If, however, that's what I have to deal with for some of my favorite
authors to ever see print again (and it looks like it may be), I'll keep buying
from them and assume that things will improve.

Hope yours arrives soon, Tammy.

I ordered mine a day before it was released and it took about 2 weeks
to arrive.

I got mine two days ago. The chapters seem a bit short... Ah, well.

BTW, far-sighted people: get out your reading glasses; you'll need
them when you try and read this. :)

I haven't received mine either, and I ordered it a month ago when it first
became available. I've already sent off some emails about it in the last
few days, just waiting for a response.

Nope, and I ordered it a few days after it became available. I was
wondering what had become of it just this morning.... Ah, well. Time will
only make it sweeter. :-)

I would suggest to anyone who hasn't received their copy of Tribulations
that they e-mail da...@darktales.com I did, & he is sending me another
copy. I ordered mine, also, when the book was first available.

My copy arrived sometime this week (I've been in Orkney on Business)
about 2 weeks after I ordered it. I started reading it about 8am in the
bath this morning, got out of bath about 12.30 :)

So Joe, when's the film being made? sequels?
