For some time now, I've been using my favorite Marcus quote as a sig for
my email at work (the one about fairness and the universe). Every once
in a while someone reads it. Most of them get a laugh out of it, but I
just recently got this response from my rabbi:

Thank you for your message and your insight on the fairness of the
world. It gave me pause for some reflection in my own experience.

Obviously, *I* can't take credit for the insight (I do provide the
proper authorship notation--just so you know). I thought I'd pass this
on to you as just another example of how *your* insights and eloquence
are continuing to reach people.

I've used that one, too, to look at when the world just isn't behaving
my way and my clients are not "herding" in anywhere near a straight
line. It makes me smile and that's what I need in the middle of
insaneness.

Best,
Alyson
