I'll also post this to a separate, ongoing thread in case this doesn't get
through in time, but....

On July 10th, at 7 p.m. EST, 4 p.m. Pacific Time, I'll be doing a online
conference at yahoo.com to launch the City of Dreams audio anthology I'm goind
for scifi.com, the first episode of which will become available that day.

Would some kind soul like to explain to me how to work the damn
thing? Sci-Fi channel doesn't seem to provide any instructions or
on-line help.

All you need is Real Player (http://www.real.com/), though they don't
appear to have uploaded the episode yet. Missed the chat too :-(

The episode still isn't up yet, don't know why, it was finished weeks ago.

Just as an FYI, the scifi.com site has been having T1 problems since Friday, so
the first City of Dreams episode isn't available (though it can be accessed if
you want to tunnel around the glitch there). Will post a note as soon as it's
fixed, which should be in the next day or so. Apparently all the scifi.com
resources are frozen, so it ain't just CoD.

So they say, but my RealPlayer 5.0.2 for Power Macintosh (which they say
is the minimum you need to play the file) insists that the *.smi file "is
not a RealVideo or RealAudio document" and refuses to play it.

That's quite an old version you have... The current one is 7, with 8 in
beta testing. Real Player version 6 introduced the much more powerful G2
compression codec used for the play, so you're going to have to upgrade.
