Will the Sci-Fi Channel become the first to air "B5" in the intended order?
Finally?
In April Warner Home Video (US) said that a DVD release was "being planned
and discussed" but that there were "remastering issues" to be worked out.
This week Warner Bros. (UK) said that there are no present plans to release
the show on DVD although they have, "requested the materials."
1) Have you heard anything further about a DVD release on either side of
the pond?
2) If so, will you be involved in prepping the show for DVD?
3) Since they've already released the entire series in the UK (PAL) and
most of it in the US (NTSC) I can't think of any reasons for WHV to remaster
the series *unless* they intend to finally do a widescreen release - so the
delay might be good news. Or am I missing something?
FYI the "B5" anamorphic DVD petition (http://b5petition.ii.net/) topped
5,000 signatures a little while ago, and is still going strong.
Regards,
Joe
P.S.
Have you seen "The X-Files" DVD boxed set? *That's* the way to do a TV
series on DVD. (Although for "B5" I'd like a few extras - a commentary
track or two, outtakes if you can negotiate the rights, that sort of thing.
<g>) I was sorely tempt to buy an extra copy and mail it to Mike Finnegan
at Warner Bros.

Generally speaking, if you have to ask me if there's anything new on this,
there isn't, because if there was, I'd announce it. It ain't like I'd forget
to mention it.
