I must certainly agree here.

The annoying thing though is how it even though it answers quite a few
questions, it sets up even more than before, such as WHAT ON EARTH (or Mars)
IS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT?

and has JMS written any scripts for the second season of Crusade?

No, one doesn't write scripts for a season until there's a writing budget for
that season.

BTW, for those interested, Rising Stars #8 hit the stands today.

Annoying? Not at all. Hungry for more? Absolutely! I love the anticipation.
If it comes to be, great. If it does not, than it does not.

Is #0 the same one that came out with Wizard at the same time as the
Preview issue came out?

[Re: the new Rising Stars 0]

I lucked out and got my copy of the new 0 issue within twenty-four hours
of asking about it. It does indeed feature the same story the original #0
did, though the text part of it has been beefed up (so to speak -- better
looking graphics), but there's also a whole new (albeit short) story by
JMS and Gary Frank. I got a good, hearty laugh out of that one!

To date, I have not missed a single issue of Rising Stars (including the
Preview and #0 issues), so I'm a bit paranoid about it... Must... not...
miss... single issue... strength... almost gone... Mary... Jane...!

I'm new to the forum, just read the 2 CRUSADE scripts on BOOKFACE.COM,
and assume those are the stories everyone has been talking about...It
was marvelous having the chance to fill in some blanks and see past the
veil a little bit more...Thank you, Joe...

Neither have I, though I'm a bit worried about this 1/2 issue thing...
Some places say it's only available through a mail in offer in Wizard...

NOOOOOOOOOO! This is exactly what I've been afraid of ever since Rising
Stars started... Unless the universe has gone through some major
metamorphosis without my noticing it, the mail in offer will, in all
probability, be only available to US redidents. Which I am not.

Could someone please post detailed info on this as soon as possible? And
please, Joe, could you keep these kinds of limited availability issues to
a minimum? I can't tell how demoralising missing an issue COMPLETELY can
be. Just imagine if B5's "The Coming of Shadows" was shown ONLY in the
USA, and everybody living abroad only heard about it from those fortunate
enough to live in the States.

I was hoping Rising Stars would be one of the exceptions, that it would
NOT resort to this kind of gimmickry. The multiple-cover #1 was
excusable, since at least I managed to get one of those, thus getting the
story within (my comics store only got one version of that issue), but if
there's no way I can get the 1/2 issue... I might as well give up on the
whole series. I'd already have missed part of the story. (And it doesn't
matter whether the story in 1/2 is non-crucial to understanding the rest
of the series or not... Every bit of the story counts.)

There are already two #0's, now we've got #1/2 coming... where does it
end?

I wouldn't worry too much, it is annoying, but the issue is supposed to
take place outside the main story. And judging by similar stunts on
other comics, the issue will be reprinted and distributed through normal
channels sometime next year.

I believe this is a Top Cow thing, much like the Sci-Fi channel they're
not above cheap marketing tricks. However, unlike a certain major cable
network, they seem to understand that it's better to work with the
creative force, rather than against it.

What the heck is #1/2 anyway? Is it a new story that happens between #0 and
#1? Is it a combo issue of #s 1 and 2? What is it? Thanks.

"1/2" issues are special mini-comics put out by publishers in collaboration with
"Wizard" magazine to promote a book or a creator. They usually run 15-20 pages
with supplementary material like character sketches and script excerpts in back.
