Hi!

I´ve heard that Warner Home Video UK will (more or less) definitively
release Babylon 5 on DVD later this year in UK. Unfortunately for the US
fans as RC2 DVD.

I really hope that you will have the chance to work with the people from
WB and give some input to the project.
Did someone from Warner contact you?
Can you tell us something about what kind of material you want to see on
a Babylon 5 DVD?
My first thoughts was comments from you, lost scenes, bloopers, story
background and some information about the CGI from FI and ND would be
great, too.

greetings from Germany

Martin

You just answered that for me. I'd like to see all that stuff on, plus
commentaries from cast or crew, script pages, storyboards, sketches, all the
stuff that is still find-able, but which may begin to disappear over the years.

Grrrr... I suddenly have the desire to buy B5 on DVD despite the fact that
I have it all on video and the fact that I don't have a DVD player... :)

I dare you to write to them offering your assistance. I'd be interested
to see what the response would be.

So what does it take to get WB to do something smart? "You Know Who" only
knows!

Maybe they're going to bring in someone from TNT.....
Running! Ducking! Avoiding many PPG blasts.

Is there anybody we should write to, to give 'em a clue? Maybe if all the
fans wrote to them, they'd wake up and smell the coffee.

So they better get on the stick! Who better than you to guide this whole
effort...

I've not heard anything about B5 been released on DVD yet, I hope
they do release it though.

Audio commontory by either the director, cast or a mixture would be
the main attraction for rebuying any of the episodes on dvd. Although
it would quite a big undertaking for every episode, I'd settle for
commentary on a few episodes from each season. But i think the time
and money in making the dvds would be well worth it, since all the
fans I personally know (can't speak for anyone else in this newsgroup)
have already bought the series on video.

Bloopers would be a great addition. Although how much time warner
brothers would be willing to spend on each DVD, when you consider how
many episodes there are, will be interesting to see.

I hope the time is spent adding at least some special features to
each DVD, it would convince me to start buying my favourite episodes
on DVD and once I've started collecting I'll probably end up
continuing.
